I am an alumna of Fresno State in The Arts and Humanities College. I pursued a bachelor's degree in broadcast journalism with a spanish media certificate. At my time at Fresno State I was a reporter for Fresno State Focus TV. I also worked on the social media team for the Media, Communication & Journalism Department. I also worked at Visalia Rawhide as a media relations intern.
During my two years at College of Sequoias, I was in the journalism class my first year in that class I took the basics of what Journalism is and with that knowledge the second year, I took the school paper class which was The Campus Journal, where I served as Editor in Chief for a year. This experience was a great one, I learned a how newspaper is ran, it's similar to a real one except this was an online newspaper. I learned how to work as a team and learned how fast the turn around for stories is.
I am proficient in an array of editing software like: Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Avid Media Composer. I have my own Mobile Journalism Kit when I am on the go!
